New Life Outreach International is a nondenominational church located in Richmond, Virginia. The church continues to reach out to the local community and surrounding areas through various outreach programs and events.
Humble Beginnings
In 1979 the first service took place in the basement of the Richmond home of Victor and Carmen Torres. In a small room with hardly any space, a group of people composed of young men and women that had been in the streets living a life of drug addiction, together with a few families from different walks of life, religious denominations and backgrounds, came together to worship and to hear from God.
An International Miracle
New Life Outreach International Church has become a living and powerful testimony of what heaven is going to look like. The congregation is a melting pot of over 40 different nations coming together. Nicky Cruz once said while visiting the church that, “New Life Outreach is a living Christmas tree, showing all the beautiful colors and cultures coming together to worship the Savior of all people, Caucasians, Latinos, African Americans, and other cultures." The messages are translated into Spanish through audio phones that are made available to the audience for every service. The Church doors are open every day of the week and prayer and outreach is extended on a continuous basis to the community and to the hurting and the poor.
The Vision
Our vision is to present Christ to the City of Richmond,
Reach Up:
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.”
Matthew 22:37
Reach Out:
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
Matthew 28:19
Reach In:
“And teaching them to obey everything I command you.”
